Project 1:Battery Thermal Management systems for Electric Vehicles and optimization ( 3 presentations following) - Dec.2012 ~ Present - CMU VEG Research
- Modeled battery pack systems using different battery cells ( LFP prismatic, cylindrical 26650) with different thermal management methods including active liquid cooling and passive/active air cooling in Matlab
- Built simulation in Matlab include vehicle dynamics, heat transfer and electrical circuit conditions.
- Simulation with different driving file scenarios targeted at battery temperature control
- Thermal Management effects evaluating using Battery life model
- Optimization for cost-efficiency of thermal management system's dimension and design using GA/SA algorithms and other non-linear toolboxes in Matlab.
